Neighborhood

Friendly neighborhood! When walking toward the beach you'll likely get a smile, "hello," or happy dog looking for a scratch. Alki means "hope for the future" or "by and by". That attitude is reflected by the people of the area as it is known to be the friendliest part of Seattle. Alki is an historic neighborhood on the Puget Sound famous for its laid-back lifestyle and scenic views of the Puget Sound, the Cascade Range in the east, the Olympic Mountains in the west, and the iconic Seattle skyline.  Seattle was founded by the Denny Party in 1851 and Alki was where they settled. If you walk along the water, you will see several monuments and landmarks telling the story. Top attractions include the Alki Beach Park with a golden stretch of sand, gentle waves for kayaking, and a waterfront walkway abuzz with bikers, Rollerbladers, joggers, and families soaking up the scenic views. The nearby Hamilton Viewpoint Park is a prime spot for a picnic with 180 degree views of the Seattle skyline and mountain ranges. Your West Seattle vacation home is only a few miles from Lincoln Park with 5 miles of walking trails, playgrounds and an outdoor heated saltwater pool (summers), and a short drive to the West Seattle Golf Course.

Guest Access

• Guests have private access to the entire home • Easy self check-in for a smooth arrival • Two dedicated driveway parking spaces included • Full access to fenced yard and outdoor seating • There are two houses on the property; the front house on the property is occupied

My family and I stayed at Tom’s place and the location was fantastic. The home was clean, very cute, and perfectly situated. Tom was attentive, friendly, and a great host. We all had a wonderful time. The location was ideal—close to restaurants and just a short walk to transit, which made it easy to get to the water taxi and head to our event at T-Mobile Park. One of the best perks was having two parking spots on the property, which made getting around stress-free while still being able to take advantage of public transportation. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Loved the location - just a short walk to the beach with plenty of places to get coffee or eat. Cute little neighborhood. Parking was ideal and off the street.

We had a great stay, the place was perfect! Exactly as described, with everything you might need. We came with our 4 and 2 year old and I love that everything was cleaned and free of clutter, so I didn't have to worry about the kids getting into things they shouldn't have. The place is cozy and comfortable, super close to the beach and restaurants. We loved it and will definitely come back again!

This home is located in one of the best areas to stay in the Seattle area! Great location - so close to the beach for walks with a furry or human loved one; walkable to many great restaurants; and a quick drive or lyft or bus to great farmers markets, grocery stores, public parks, and more restaurants! Also very quick trip (~15-20 mins to downtown). Also Tom and Jeff were awesome hosts! Very friendly and responsive to all sorts of questions. I highly recommend staying here and hope to be back sometime soon!

Minutes from Cactus (Mexican Food), Starbucks, SunFish (Fish and Chips) and Christo's (Pizza). Lots of parking on the street, but you'll have a parking strip that fits 2 cars. Lots of "Lime" scooters and rental bikes to get around. The Water Taxi has a free shuttle bus (775) stop a half block and it will take you to the water taxi next to Marination (restaurant--fast Hawaiian) the taxi goes to Pioneer Square -- aka the heart of downtown Seattle.
